بەسەرهاتی عەلی بابە

Ali Baba was a woodcutter. He was from Persia, in the Middle East.

عەلی بابا دارتاش بوو، خەڵکی ئێران بوو، لە ڕۆژهەڵاتی ناوەڕاست.

One day he was at work in the woods when he saw forty men on forty black horses. They stopped near a huge rock.

ڕۆژێک لەسەر کار بوو لە دارستانەکە کاتێک چل پیاوی بینی لەسەر چل ئەسپی ڕەش. ئەوان لە نزیک بەردێکی گەورە وەستابوون.

They had forty big, heavy, brown sacks on their backs. Ali Baba watched the men as they got off their horses.

ئەوان 40 جانتای گەورە و قورس و قاوەیییان لە پشت بوو عەلی بابا سەیری پیاوەکانی دەکرد کە لە ئەسپەکانیان دابەزین.

A tall man walked to the rock and said 'Open Sesame.' Ali Baba looked and looked again...

ئەو پیاوەی کە بەرز بوو بەرەو بەردەکە ڕۆیشت و وتی 'سیسامی بکرێوە'. عەلی بابەش هەر سەیری دەکرد...

Something amazing happened... the rock opened! Behind the rock was a cave.

شتێکی سەیر روویدا.... بەردەکە کرایەوە! لە پشت بەردەکە ئەوشکەوتێک هەبوو.

The forty men went into the cave with their sacks. Later, when the men came out of the cave, they didn't have their sacks.

چل پیاوەکە بە جانتاکانیان چوونە ناو ئەشکەوتەکەوە. دواتر کاتێک پیاوەکان لە ئەشکەوتەکە هاتنە دەرەوە،
جانتاکانیان لەگەلیان نەبوو.

'Close Sesame,' said the tall man, and the rock closed! , The forty men got on their horses and went away.

پیاوە بەرزەکە وتی "سیسامی دابخرێ"
وە بەردەکە داخرا! چل پیاوەکە سواری ئەسپەکانیان بوون و ڕۆیشتن.

Ali Baba went to the rock. 'Open Sesame,' he said.The rock opened... and inside the cave there were hundreds of sacks and wooden boxes.

عەلی بابە چوو بۆ سەر بەردەکە و وتی"سیسامی دبکرێوە" بەردەکە کرایەوە... لە ناو ئەشکەوتەکەدا سەدان جانتا و سندوقی دار هەبوون.

Ali Baba opened a sack and... it was full of diamonds! He opened another sack and... it was full of gold coins!

عەلی بابە جانتایەکی کردەوە و... پڕ بوو لە ئەڵماس! ئەو جانتایەکی دیکەی کردەوە و... پڕ بوو لە سکەی ئاڵتون!

He opened a box and... it was full of silver! He opened another box and... it was full of beautiful jewels!

سندوقێکی تری کردەوە و... پڕ بوو لە زیو! سندوقێکی دیکەی کردەوە و... پڕ بوو لە گەوهەری جوان!

'These forty men are thieves,' thought Ali. 'I'm going to take some of these coins home for my wife!'

عەلی وای زانی ئەو چل پیاوە دزن،  من هەندێک لەم دراوانە دەبەمە ماڵەوە بۆ هاوسەرەکەم!
He put some gold coins into his bag and went out of the cave. 'Close Sesame,' he said.The rock closed and he went home.

ئەو چەند سکەی ئاڵتونی خستە ناو جانتاکەیەوە و لە ئەشکەوتەکە چووە دەرەوە. و وتی "سیسامی دابخرێ" بەردەکە داخرا و  چوو بۆ ماڵەوە.

Ali Baba's wife, Nasreen, was in the kitchen. Ali Baba told her about the forty thieves and the treasure in the cave.

ژنەکەی عەلی بابا، نەسرین، لە مەتبەخەکەدا بوو، عەلی بابا دەربارەی چل دز و خەزێنەی ناو ئەشکەوتەکە بۆی باس کرد.

'This is wonderful news,' said Nasreen. 'Can we take more money and buy a new house and new clothes?'

نەسرین وتی: ئەمە هەواڵێکی نایابە، ئایا دەتوانین پارەی زیاتر وەرگرین و خانوویەکی نوێ و جلوبەرگی نوێ بکڕین؟

'Yes, but we mustn't tell anyone,' said Ali. 'The forty thieves are very dangerous men.'

عەلی وتی: بەڵێ، بەڵام نابێت بە کەسی بڵێین "چل دزەکان پیاوی زۆر مەترسیدارن"

Ali's brother, Cassim, was outside the kitchen. He opened the door.'Tell me where the cave is!' he shouted.

برای عەلی، کاسم، لە دەرەوەی مەتبەخەکە بوو. دەرگاکەی کردەوە، هاواری کرد و وتی؛ پێم بڵێ ئەشکەوتەکە لەکوێیە؟

'You must tell me or I'm going to go and look for it myself!'

تۆ دەبێت پێم بڵێی ئەگینا من خۆم دەچم بەدوایدا دەگەرم!

'No! Don't do that!' said Ali. 'Go into the woods.

نەخێر! ئەمە مەکە!' عەلی وتی "بڕۆ بۆ ناو دارستانەکە"

There's a huge rock near the big baobab tree. The rock opens when you say 'Open Sesame' and closes when you say 'Close Sesame'.

بەردێکی گەورە لە نزیک دارە گەورەکەی باوباب هەیە. بەردەکە دەکرێتەوە کاتێک تۆ دەڵی 'سیسامی بکرێوە' و دادەخات کاتێک تۆ دەڵی 'سیسامی دابخە'.

Cassim went to the rock. 'Open Sesame,' he said. He went into the cave and the rock closed.

کاسیم چوو بۆ سەر بەردەکە وتی "سیسامی بکرێوە" چووە ناو ئەشکەوتەکەوە و بەردەکە داخرا.

'This is amazing,' thought Cassim. 'Gold, silver... beautiful jewels!'

کاسم وتی؛ ئەمە سەرسوڕهێنەرە. ٫زێر، ئەلماس ... گەوهەری جوان!٬

He had three big sacks with him and filled them with gold and silver and jewels.

سێ جەنتای گەورەی لەگەڵدا بوو و پری کرد لە ئاڵتون  و زیو و خشڵ.

He stood in front of the rock and said 'Open Wheat', but the rock didn't open!

لەبەردەم بەردەکە وەستا و گوتی " گەنم بکرێوە" بەڵام بەردەکە نەکراوە!

He said 'Open Corn,' but the rock didn't open! 'Oh! What is the right word?' he thought.

ئەو وتی 'کۆرن بکرێوە' بەڵام بەردەکە نەکراوە! ئۆھ وشەی راست چیە؟

Cassim was angry. He couldn't remember the word! He sat down to think, but suddenly he heard horses.

کاسیم تووڕە بوو. وشەکەی بەبیر نەهاتەوە! دانیشت تا بیربکاتەوە، بەڵام لەناکاو گوێی لە ئەسپەکان بوو.

The forty thieves were outside the cave! Look! A horse! Someone's in our cave!

چل دزەکان لە دەرەوەی ئەشکەوتەکە بوون!سەیربکە! هەسپ! کەسێک لە ناو ئەشکەوتەکەماندایە!

'He can't have our treasure! He must die!' said the tall man.

پیاوە بەرزەکە وتی: ئەو نابێت گەنجینەی ئێمە ببات دەبێت بمرێت!

The next morning Cassim's wife, Zhila, went to Ali Baba.

بەیانی دواتر ژنەکەی کاسم ژیلا چووە لای عەلی بابا

'Cassim didn't come home last night! Do you know where he is?' she asked.

پرسیاری کرد: کەسم شەوی ڕابردوو نەهاتەوە ماڵەوە! تۆ دەزانی ئەو لە کوێیە؟'

Ali told Zhila about the cave. 'Please go to the cave! The thieves are dangerous men.

عەلی دەربارەی ئەشکەوتەکە بە ژیلا وت "تکایە بڕۆ بۆ ئەشکەوت! دزەکان پیاوی مەترسیدارن

They'll kill him!' she said.Ali went to the rock. It was closed but he heard a noise.

ژیلا وتی: دەیکوژن، عەلی چوو بۆ سەر بەردەکە. داخرابوو بەڵام دەنگێکی بیست.

'Cassim, are you there?' he said. 'Yes, yes... I'm here. Help me! I'm hurt.'

عەلی وتی: "کاسم، تۆ لێرەیت؟" بەلێ بەلێ من لێرەدام. یارمەتیم بده! من بریندارم.

'Open Sesame,' said Ali Baba and the rock
opened. Cassim was on the floor...

عەلی بابە وتی؛ سیسامێ بکرێوە  و بەردەکە
کراوە. کاسم لەسەر زەوی بوو.

he couldn't walk! 'The thieves said I must die but I didn't die!' he said.

ئەو نەیدەتوانی بروات! وتی: دزەکان وتیان من دەبێ بمرم بەڵام نەمردم!

'You didn't die but you're hurt! Let's go home now and the doctor can come to the house later tonight.'

تۆ نەمردیت بەڵام برینداری! با ئێستا بڕۆین بۆ ماڵەوە و دواتر دکتۆر دەتوانێت ئەمشەو بێتە ماڵەوە.

The next afternoon the thieves went back to the cave.

عەسری دواتر دزەکان گەڕانەوە بۆ ئەشکەوتەکە.

'He isn't here!' said the tall man. 'We must find him. He was hurt! We must find the doctor who helped him!'

پیاوە بەرزەکە وتی: ئەو لێرە نییە،  دەبێت بیدۆزینەوە. ئەو بریندار بوو! ئێمە دەبێت ئەو دکتۆرە بدۆزینەوە کە یارمەتیی داوە!

The tall man found the doctor's house. He was angry.'Where's the man you helped yesterday?

پیاوە بەرزەکە ماڵی دکتۆرەکەی دۆزیەوە. تووڕە ببوو. ئەو پیاوەی کە دوێنێ یارمەتیت داوە لە کوێیە؟

Where's his house?' he asked.'I don't know,' said the doctor. 'It was dark and I couldn't see the road or the houses.'

پرسی: لە کوێی خانووەکەیە؟' دکتۆرە وتی: 'من نازانم'' 'تاریک بوو و نەمدەتوانی ڕێگاکە یان ماڵەکان ببینم'

'Then take me to the house tonight when it's dark,' said the tall man.

پیاوە بەرزەکە وتی:
کەواتە ئەمشەو بمبە بۆ مالەکە کە تاریکەبوو.

The, doctor took the tall man to Ali's house later that night and the tall man painted a white cross on the door.

دکتۆر ئەو پیاوە بەرزەی برد بۆ ماڵی عەلی دوای ئەو شەوە و پیاوە بەرزەکە خاچێکی سپی لەسەر دەرگاکە کێشا.

'Now I know where Cassim and his family live,' he thought. 'They must all die! And I've got a plan!'

ئێستا من دەزانم کە کاسیم و خێزانەکەی لە کوێ دەژین، ئەو پێیوابوو "دەبێت هەموویان بمرن! من پلانێکم هەیە!

The tall man went to the market and bought thirty-nine big oil pots.

پیاوە بەرزەکە چوو بۆ بازاڕ و سی و نۆ مەنجەلی گەورەی نەوت کڕی.

'Put the pots on your horses then hide inside them' he told the thieves. 'I'm going to Ali Baba's house and you'll be in the pots.

ئەو بە دزەکانی وت: ئەو مەنجەلانە لەسەر ئەسپەکانت دابنێ، پاشان لەناویاندا بشارەوە. 'من دەچمە ماڵی عەلی بابا و ئێوەش لە ناو مەنجەڵەکان دەبن.

We'll kill them all tonight when they are asleep!'That evening he went to Ali Baba's house.

ئێمە ئەمشەو هەمووی دەکوژین کاتێک خەوتوون. ئەو ئێوارەیە چوو بۆ ماڵی عەلی بابا

'Good evening. I'm an oil merchant from India and I'm very tired,' he said

وتی: ئێوارە باش. من بازرگانێکی نەوتم لە هیندستانەوە و زۆر ماندووم،

'Have you got a room where I can sleep and a place for my horses?'
ئایا ژوورێکتان هەیە کە بتوانم بخەوم و شوێنێک بۆ ئەسپەکانم؟

'Of course! Welcome to my home,' said Ali. Zhila was in the kitchen with Nasreen.

عەلی وتی: بێ گومان! بەخێربێیت بۆ ماڵەکەم،  ژیلا لەگەڵ ناسرین لە مەتبەخەکە بوو.

'That man isn't Indian; he's Persian,' said Zhila. 'I don't like him. Let's go and look at the pots on his horses.'
ژیلا وتی: ئەو پیاوە هیندی نییە ، ئەو فارسییە من ئەوم خۆش ناوێت با بڕۆین سەیری مەنجەڵەکانی سەر ئەسپەکانی بکەین.
They went out of the house into the garden. There were lots of stars in the sky and everything was very quiet.

ئەوان لە ماڵەکە چوونە دەرەوە بۆ ناو باخەکە. لە ئاسماندا ئەستێرەیەکی زۆر هەبوو و هەموو شتێک زۆر بێدەنگ بوو.

Suddenly they heard a man's voice: 'When are we going to kill Cassim and AliBaba and their wives?'
لەپڕ گوێیان لەدەنگی پیاوێک بوو کەی کاسم و عەلی بابا و هاوسەرەکانیان دەکوژین؟

'When they're asleep,' said another voice. The women looked at the pots on the horses.Thirty-nine pots in their garden...

دەنگێکیتر وتی: کاتێک خەوتبن،   ئافرەتەکان سەیری مەنجەڵەکانی سەر ئەسپەکانیان کرد. لە ناو باخەکەیاندا سی و نۆ مەنجەڵ.

thirty-nine men in the pots, and one man in the house... The Forty Thieves!'Quickly!' said Zhila. 'Open the gate.'
39 پیاو لە ناو مەنجەڵدا، وە پیاوێک لە مال...  چل دزەکان کەدەیانەوێت.  ژیلا بەخێرایی وتی "دەرگاکە بکەوە"
Nasreen opened the gate. 'Shoo, shoo, go away! Shoo, shoo, go away!' they shouted at the horses.

نەسرین دارگایەکەی کردەوە. شو ، شو دورکەونەوە شو شو دورکەونەوە.  هاواریان لە ئەسپەکان دەکرد.

The horses ran out of the garden. They ran and they ran and they ran. They ran into the desert and never came back.

ئەسپەکان لە باخچەکە ڕایان کرد. ڕایان کرد و ڕایان کرد و ڕایان کرد. ئەوان ڕایان کرد بۆ بیابان و هەرگیز نەگەڕانەوە.

The tall man went into the garden when everyone was sleeping. His horses weren't there! His pots weren't there! His men weren't there!

پیاوە بەرزەکە چوو بۆ ناو باخچەکە کاتێک هەموویان خەوتبوون. ئەسپەکانی لەوێ نەبوون! مەنجەلەکانی لەوێ نەبوون.
پیاوەکانی لەوێ نەبوون.

He ran out of the garden, he ran into the desert, but he couldn't see his horses or his men.

لە باخچەکە ڕایکرد، ڕایکرد بۆ بیابان، بەڵام نە ئەسپەکانی و نە پیاوەکانی بینی.

He ran and he ran and he ran and he never came back.In the morning Cassim and Ali Baba woke up early and went into the garden.

ڕایکرد و ڕایکرد و ڕایکرد و هەرگیز نەگەڕایەوە. بەیانی کاسم و عەلی بابا زوو لە خەو هەستان و چوونە ناو باخچەکە.

'This is very strange,' said Ali. The oil merchant isn't here, and his horses aren't here! Where are they?'
عەلی وتی: ئەمە زۆر سەیرە بازرگانە نەوتەکە لێرە نییە و ئەسپەکانی لێرە نین! لە کوێن؟'
'You men are very silly,' said Nasreen.
'Yes, very silly,' said Zhila. 'The oil merchant from India wasn't an oil merchant from India.'
نەسرین وتی: ئێوە پیاوەکان زۆر گێلن.
ژیلا وتی: بەڵێ، زۆر گێلان. 'بازرگانە نەوتەکەی هیندستان، بازرگانێکی نەوت نەبوو لە هیندستانەوە'
'No,' said Nasreen. 'He was the leader of the forty thieves!''Where are the forty thieves now?' said Cassim.
نەسرین وتی نەخێر. ئەو سەرکردەی چل دزەکان بوو. کاسم وتی: ئێستا چل دزەکان لە کوێن؟

'They ran into the desert, and let's hope they'll never come back!' said Zhila.
ژیلا وتی: ئەوان رایان کرد بۆ ناو بیابان. وە با هیواخوازین کە هەرگیز نەگەڕێنەوە!
'Tomorrow you can go and get the treasure and we'll give some to everyone in the village!'
سبەی دەتوانیت بڕۆیت و خەزێنەکە بەدەست بهێنیت و هەندێک دەبەخشین بە هەموو کەسێک لە گوندەکە!
The next day Cassim and Ali Baba went back to the rock with ten grey donkeys.
'Open Wheat,' said Cassim.
ڕۆژی دواتر کاسم و عەلی بابا لەگەل دە کەری خۆڵەمێشی گەڕانەوە سەر بەردەکە.
کاسیم وتی:" گەنم بکەوە"
'No, silly! Don't you remember? It's not Wheat. It's Sesame!' said Ali Baba.'Of course, the word is "Sesame".

عەلی بابە وتی؛ نەخێر گەمژەی! تۆ لە بیرت نییە؟ ئەوە گەنم نییە. ئەوە
سێسامە!
بە دڵنیاییەوە، وشەکە "سێسام"ە.

Open Sesame, said Cassim.The rock opened and they put all the wooden boxes and sacks of treasure on the donkeys.

کاسم وتی: سیسامی بکرێوە. بەردەکە کرایەوە و هەموو سندوقی دار و جەنتای گەنجینەیان خستە سەر
کەرەکان.

Then they went back to the village and gave the treasure to the poor villagers.
پاشان گەڕانەوە بۆ گوندەکە و خەزێنەیان دا بە گوندنشینە هەژارەکان
'Thank you, Nasreen and Zhila' said the villagers.
'You're very clever women!'

گوندنشینان وتیان: سوپاس، نەسرین و ژیلا، 
ئێوە ئافرەتێکی زۆر زیرەکن!
